A traditional tavern on Schwarzwaldstraße - known as the "Bankepeter" since the 1930s, with Augustiner since 2002. Hand-scraped Spätzle, Brägele and Schnitzel Sunday.

Café Goldener Affe (closed)
Permanently closed - the beloved courtyard café at Nägeleseestraße 8 had to close at the end of 2024.

Schloss-Café Lorettoberg
A café in a 1902 Art Nouveau building on the Lorettoberg - breakfast until 3 pm, homemade cakes and a terrace overlooking the Freiburg basin.

Café in the Old Wiehre Station (Barbette)
A café and wine bar in the historic station building - part of the ensemble with the municipal cinema and literature forum, run as "Barbette" by Annette Huber.
