Permanently closed - the beloved courtyard café at Nägeleseestraße 8 had to close at the end of 2024.
Café Goldener Affe was, from early 2020, a beloved and individually furnished courtyard café in the Mittelwiehre - in the rooms of the former Strecker wine merchant at Nägeleseestraße 8. It was known for breakfast, home-baked cakes and a living-room-like atmosphere with a garden idyll. At the end of 2024 the operator had to move out after termination by the owner (AWO Baden); a café run by an ice-cream maker took over the spot. A new Wiehre location had not been confirmed as of June 2026.
