Wiehre Fire Brigade Festival
Three days of festivities at the fire station on Urachstraße - the 17th edition in 2026, with live bands and a family day.
The Wiehre Fire Brigade Festival is hosted by Freiburg's volunteer fire brigade, division 01 Oberstadt, on the grounds of the fire station at Urachstraße 5. Live bands play on the Friday and Saturday; for 2026 „Tonight Tonight“ and „Cocktail“ are announced. Sunday is family day, with a display by the youth fire brigade and rides for children in a fire engine. Food runs to grilled dishes, chips and tarte flambée, with braised beef for Sunday lunch plus coffee and cake. The fire station sits in the heart of the Wiehre, a few steps from the Old Wiehre Station, and is within walking distance from there.
