Freiburg Wine Festival
Six days of Baden wine culture around Freiburg's Minster - regional vintners pour Pinot Noir, Gutedel and Pinot Blanc.
Every year in early July, Münsterplatz square transforms into an open-air wine arbor for the Freiburg Wine Festival. Winegrowers' cooperatives and estates from the Markgräflerland, the Kaiserstuhl and the Breisgau pour their wines, alongside regional specialties and live music in the evenings. From the Wiehre, Münsterplatz is about ten minutes away on tram line 2 - and anyone arriving from out of town is best off staying centrally.
